- Gideon Calls for Severed Relations with U.K.

Boulder-Springs CO (ANS): Colorado Congressman T. Emory "Em" Gideon (RW) today called for the United States government to sever relations with the United Kingdom over the current audit and repayment demands for MP overstated expenses.
"The Brits have gone too damned far," Gideon stated to radio call in host Berni Piat at KZUD 88.2 FM early this morning. "How the hell can politicians be expected to do effective work if they think they're going to have to pay back every little piss-ant expense? Who the hell are you going to get to run this country if elected officials are expected to follow the same damned rules as the freakin' plebes? I say we send a message now. We cut off British imports (except for Laphoraig, of course, we can't be too over the top with this) and shut down all the crap on the airwaves from BBC. We've got our own crappy television people should be watching."
The recording seems to indicated that Gideon slammed down his phone on disconnect and has since been unavailable for comment. Follow the Journal for more updates.
- ATFSLU Threatens CORE Walkout
Boulder-Springs (ANS) - The Airline Telephone Flight Status Looker-Uppers (ATFSLU) has threatened to walk out on CORE Airways if CORE moves forward with an on-line application for the lookup of flight status. Approximately 950 ATFSLU members are affected by this proposed automation. - CORE Airways Negotiating with ATOTP
Boulder-Springs (ANS) - CORE Aireways (USSE: CRAW) is currently negotiating with the ATOTP (Airline Telephone Order-takers and Ticket Processors) for a revision in the current contract that will allow CORE to build on-line processes for reservations and ticket purchases. The existing contract has been in place since 1968, when CORE was the small local carrier Colorado Regional, for a term of 99 years. When Colorado Regional became CORE Airways in the early 1980s, the board of directors and new major stockholders were unable to get the union contract nullified.

- Colorado Senator Proposes New Treason Statute
Washington (ANS Wire) Colorado Senator Douglas "Dooley" Neall (PNCP) today introduced legislation in the Senate that would vastly expand the list of "treasonable" activities. Neall said that with over a trillion dollars in federal funds at risk and a national debt exceeding ten trillion dollars, it is time to establish some rigid penalties regarding the abuse of fiscal controls. The high points of Neall's bill are (verbatim from the text of the bill):- Section 6.1 - The solicitation or acceptance of a bribe, kickback, graft or other illicit payment by a government employee, whether elected or appointed, shall be tantamount to treason and prosecuted as such.
- Section 6.2 - The offer or payment of a bribe, kickback, graft or other payment for favors or preferential treatment to any government employee, whether elected or appointed, shall be tantamount to treason and prosecuted as such.
- Section 6.3 - The acceptance or offer of payment to a family member, relative, business associate, or professional representative (includes attorneys, accountants) in an attempt to gain favors or preferential treatment from an government employee, whether elected or appointed, shall be tantamount to treason and prosecuted as such.
- Section 7.1 - The offer or acceptance of economic influence regarding legislation before Congress shall be tantamount to treason and prosecuted as such.
- Section 7.2 - The payment of individuals, whether employees or service contractors, to attempt to influence legislation via monetary payments, gifts, entertainment, or other means shall be tantamount to treason and prosecuted as such.
Most Washington insiders have little confidence that Neall's bill will make it out of committee hearings. A common quote coming from lobbyists and others familiar with matters inside the loop is, "Neall's bill will never fly. It's not the way we do things around here." However, some insiders say that Section 7.2 of the bill has thousands of D.C. lobbyists very nervous and that it puts their very livelihoods at stake.
Senator Neall, at an early morning press conference, said. "This legislation has been long coming. This is the United States of America in the twenty-first century, not sixteenth-century Europe where governments were controlled by a small group of landowners who controlled the resources. As much as those behind bland gray desks in Washington and in the exaggerated opulence of Wall Street skyscrapers would like to believe, the real resources of this country are it's people, and the natural resources in the hands of what the financiers and political pundits call Flyover Country. Together, the senators and representatives from the flyover states have the votes to put this legislation on the books and to take back control of what rightfully belongs to the people, ALL the people of the United States."
- They Must Think They're in Congress
A few days ago, the county commissioners in neighboring Boulder-Springs terminated their entire audit staff without notice. One of the commissioners, who wants to remain nameless for obvious reasons said, "We hired these people to look for theft and stuff. You know, like employees taking pens and notebooks, stuff like that. The next thing we knew this woman who headed the audit team was looking in management issues. Nobody said anything about looking into any of that. She's looking at policies, procedures--looking to make sure people are following the rules. Hell, we're commissioners, we don't have to follow any damned rules. We make the rules for regular people." When asked about particular policies that were being investigated the commissioner declined comment. More on this story as it develops. The Statesman admits to being very naive in thinking that county commissioners would have to follow the same rules as the rest of us. We assume that most of them have a run for Congress on their agendas. - BeriCraft Aviation Takes Lead from SeemsFree on Fraud
Solace Creek (ANS) - It was confirmed today that the Colorado Bureau of Investigation is looking in to allegations of fraud at the Colorado facilities of BeriCraft Aviation that are similar to allegations make against retail giant Seems Free in October. In BeriCraft's case, there is a twist. Instead of thousands of customers being ripped off by rigged vending machines, the victims the thousands of BeriCraft employees. Just months ago, BeriCraft acquired over seven hundred vending machines from WagerzTech, the same company implicated in the SeemsFree allegations.
Nearly twenty percent of the vending transactions on the WagerzTech machines fail to dispense merchandise, and retain and average of fifty-cents of each dollar supposedly refunded by activating the coin return. In SeemsFree's case, insiders suggested that the retained refunds were being divided by SeemsFree and WagerzTech. Apparently the same thing is happening in the BeriCraft case. BeriCraft CEO Geoffrey Fynch has been "travelling" and the company has not returned calls from media.

- Heath News: High Deductible Survey
A recent survey indicates that none of the country's wealthiest business leaders have a problem with paying the trendy high deductibles for health care. Ninety percent of the top 100 would pay $5,000 to $7,500 in annual deductibles without batting an eye. Interestingly, Damien Grade, number twenty on the list, indicated that he would resist the high deductible and be compelled to generate additional compensation from his company, Grade Holdings, to cover it.
- Gideon Insults British Allies
Boulder-Springs CO (ANSNow)
The British Home Office today lodged a formal complaint with U.S. Presidential Candidate T. Emory "Em" Gideon's campaign headquarters. Two weeks ago, when British troops were being held by the Iranian government, Gideon is reported to have said in a speech to the Colorado Conservative Coalition. "Who gives a sh*t? They're not Americans."The Home Office is requesting a formal, personal apology. Calls to Gideon campaign headquarters have not been returned.

- Gideon for President in 2008
Solace Creek, Colorado (ANS) - Colorado Congressman T. Emory Gideon just announced that he is a candidate for President in 2008. In a radical WebSpeech, Gideon decried immigration -- as usual -- and the First Amendment -- as usual. We at York Broadcast Network are not expecting this run to last long, even with the backing of Acolytica and Evangelical Crossway.

In words that my analyst would approve -- Gideon is a nutcase.
To see the full text of his WebSpeech visit his campaign website. We doubt it will be up for long.
